Gifhorn and the International Wind- and Watermill Museum

On Tuesday we put the screens up (woohoo!) so we stayed close to home. We headed to Gifhorn - just a hop, skip and a jump away - to the Internationales Wind- und Wassermühlen-Museum (The International Wind- and Watermill Museum.)

I have to say, it was pretty damn cool! They have full size working replicas of some pretty cool windmills from around the world.

Lots and lots of models of other windmills that they would like to eventually build.

And some other just generally cool stuff.

The best part for me was the Russian Orthodox Church.

The inside was amazing.

After the museum we drove through the village Andre grew up in.

and then stopped in to see Andre's parents and then walked around the plaza in Gifhorn.
